I've taken many pictures; some show lone flowers like this one, while others capture over a dozen buds and blossoms. What remains consistent, though, are the overall legginess of the stems and minimal numbers of leaves. It clearly would not win the crown in a roses' beauty pageant, yet each flower unfolds into a delicate, intricate work of nature's art.
I wouldn't notice the plant if it weren't growing where it is; it's nearly invisible. But I do see it. It captivates and inspires me with its apparent determination to persevere. Maybe that's its point.
